FMS -- Custodial Teams

Custodial services in Spelman’s residence halls are provided by FMS staff while custodial services in Spelman’s Academic and Administrative facilities are provided by Aramark Facility Services.

Residence Hall Custodial Teams

Residence hall housekeepers are divided into four campus zones with a team leader managing each zone. The four teams of housekeepers are:

  1. Team Stewart & Cole
  2. Team Suites
  3. Team Angelica
  4. Team Milky Way

There are also four floor technicians who provide custodial support to the residence halls as well as support for events in the Living & Learning Centers. This team is named the Fantastic Four Techs and is scheduled for regular service seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Spelman Administrative and Academic Facilities

 Aramark Facility Services provides custodial services in the academic and administrative buildings. Ella C. Arnold is the front line manager of the custodial teams on two shifts.

The first shift, 7:00am – 4:00pm provides cleaning services of the restrooms, main hallways, entrance areas and lobbies.

The second shift, 5:00pm – 1:30am provides cleaning services of restrooms, break rooms, faculty, and administrative offices, routine, and preventative floorcare maintenance.
